Pretty much the first thing most folks think about when they hear “1776” is the founding of the United States of America. However, there’s another remarkable event that happened during that eventful year: the founding of Mission San Juan Capistrano.
Seeing is Believing
For the faithful, Mission San Juan Capistrano is a living testament to the persistence of the Catholic Church. Having survived this long against everything from insurrection to an earthquake that decimated much of the Great Stone Church, its perseverance continues to inspire awe.
